Facing increasing competition from low-cost giants like H&M, Uniqlo, and Zara, David Jones—Australia’s largest and oldest fashion retailer—needed to reassert its position as the country’s premier destination for luxury goods.
To achieve this, we modernised David Jones’ visual identity and wordmark, drawing inspiration from publications like Gentlewoman and Acne Paper. We also transformed the product catalogue into a broadsheet format with refined editorial style, further cementing the brand’s premium status and ensuring its continued relevance in a competitive market.
